External Quality Assurance

External quality assurance (EQA) is an integral part of our quality assurance arrangements. Our external quality assurers (EQAs) are the key mechanism in the establishment and monitoring of recognised centre status facilitating compliance with statutory regulation, our quality standards and the expectations of our qualification partners.

EQAs are required to visit centres and/or conduct desk-based reviews to monitor and report recognised centre compliance with our requirements and qualification specification criteria (developed in accordance with our quality standards and appropriate legislation). As external quality assurance is the key mechanism in the monitoring of recognised centre activity; we have a number of quality assurance roles and responsibilities in place to ensure compliance is effectively maintained and risk is managed.Visits are normally planned in advanced, however 1st4sport reserve the right to perform an unannounced ‘spot check’ .

To find out more about our quality assurance roles and responsibilities and to review the strategic objectives we have in place related to quality assurance please read the 1st4sport External Quality Assurance Arrangements.
