1st4sport Qualifications is an awarding body recognised and regulated in England by the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual), the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland and regulated in Wales by Qualifications Wales.
We operate as a brand of Coachwise Ltd, within the Education Services Directorate, awarding vocational and occupational qualifications for the sport, recreation, learning and skills industry; predominately in active leisure, learning and well-being sector. All Coachwise directorates are required to operate in accordance with policies agreed by the Coachwise Board, ensuring ethical operations and effective working practices, while working to achieve the Coachwise vision and mission.
As an awarding organisation we also have specific qualification-awarding responsibilities. To ensure that we maintain our awarding status with the regulators, and continue to be able to develop, deliver and award fit-for-purpose qualifications for the active leisure and learning industry, we are required to maintain compliance with a range of regulations; predominately though the Ofqual General Conditions of Recognition (2011). The following statements and related reporting templates are designed to support our continued compliance and ensure ethical practice.
