We are pleased to confirm that we have now submitted our annual statement of compliance with our General Conditions of Recognition to Ofqual and also to the Welsh Government.
In doing so, we identified a large number of strengths and few areas for concern. The one area for concern that relates to our centres is that of access arrangements for learners. While some centres are particularly proactive, we can clearly see from our records that a large number of centres have never submitted a reasonable adjustment request to support learners with a permanent disability. This leads us to believe that some learners with disabilities may not have received adequate support. Our external verifiers will be closely monitoring this over the next 12 months, and we will be developing specific guidance for centres to raise awareness.
