ukactive and CIMSPA launch the Active Training Awards

New industry accolades recognises excellence in workforce development across the sector.

ukactive and CIMPSA have announced the Active Training Awards, 2014. The awards is the first and only accolade of its type that celebrates exceptional performance and commitment in vocational training and development within the physical activity sector.

“Our workforce is the bedrock of the physical activity sector and the investment delivered in this area is crucial to equip our professionals to guide and influence behaviour change at grassroots level”, said David Stalker, Chief Executive Officer, ukactive.

“Training providers make a critical contribution to the advancement of our sector; be they apprenticeship providers, specialist training companies or employers implementing effective internal solutions. These Awards allow us to recognise their contribution, celebrate success and make sure our industry solutions are cutting edge”, he added.

Tara Dillon, Chief Operating Officer, CIMSPA commented, “In our first year we are introducing a rigorous application and assessment process, enabling judges to truly get under the skin of what makes a training provider excel over the competition and allowing a broad range of entrants to showcase excellence via a new breadth of categories that reflects the true footprint of training across the sector. We will also be able to provide all applicants with first class feedback from which they can implement improvements to their solutions”.
