New 24+ Advanced Learning Loans
From 1 April 2013, it will be possible for learners (in England) who are 24 years and older to apply for loans to support them to achieve Level 3 or above QCF-accredited qualifications, similar to the way that loans for full-time students have operated for a number of years.

If you have a funding contract with the Skills Funding Agency (SFA), or links to a college or organisation that has a contract, you may be interested in offering your learners the chance to apply for a loan to support their achievement of QCF qualifications at Level 3 or above.
Further information can be found on the government’s website.
Information for 1st4sport Learners
If you intend to apply to a recognised centre to complete one of our qualifications at Level 3 or above, you might want to consider taking advantage of a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan.
To qualify, you’ll need to be:
- 24 years of age or older on the first day of the course
- living in the UK on the first day of the course, and have lived in the UK for three years immediately before the start of the course
- starting your course on or after 1 August 2013
- studying at a college or training organisation in England approved for public funding.
Please be aware that loans are not available to support courses at all centres. When applying for a course, you should ask the college or training organisation if it is eligible for the loans.
