Overview
The 1st4sport Level 1 Award in an Introduction to the Horseracing Industry is perfect for learners who are passionate about working with horses but have either little previous experience in this area or who are already working in the industry and are keen to increase their knowledge.
They will grow their knowledge in a range of areas, including in relation to the major organisations in the industry and the different race types and racecourses, preparing them to expand their knowledge further and take on more training.
This qualification is supported by the BHA as the trade association and employers for horseracing in the UK.
Qualification Progression
This qualification leads to further learning or training in the horseracing industry such as the 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in the Structure of the Horseracing Industry.
This qualification can lead to paid or voluntary roles working in the horseracing industry. Whilst this is a knowledge based qualification, the knowledge gained will enhance a learner’’s curriculum vitae (CV), increasing employability.
