This qualification will enable you to be able to plan, deliver and evaluate annual coaching programmes, either independently or working as part of a larger coaching team.

This qualification is designed to  develop the skills and knowledge required to plan, deliver and evaluate a coaching programme, working independently or as part of a large coaching team.
Successful achievement of the qualification enables you to apply the principles of safe and effective sport and physical activity coaching programmes to a group of participants, either working independently or as part of a larger coaching team. You will develop an understanding of appropriate coaching skills, including the knowledge and ability to support the delivery and review of coaching sessions

Prior to registration you are required to:

  • be appropriately identified
  • be at least 16 years of age
  • be able to communicate effectively in English.

The qualification will enable successful learners to progress to other qualifications in a related area, such as:

  • 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Supporting the Delivery of Physical Education and School Sport

Recognised centres offering this qualification determine their own fees, and they will vary from centre to centre. The fees charged should entitle you to a programme of learning and assessment, registration and certification for the qualification and a 1st4sport Learner Pack.
