Athena, our Quality Assurance System

Athena is a web- and mobile phone-based system that supports monitoring of our centres’ compliance with our recognition requirements. It was also designed to support the management of over 100 external verifiers (EVs) and encompasses the breadth of our quality assurance arrangements.

All of our External Verifiers are required to engage with Athena to:

• Access 1st4sport documentation
• Monitor activities within allocated centres
• Complete external verification reports
• Confirm attendance at standardisation meetings
• Review standardisation meeting minutes
• Manage their EV performance profile
• Make additional EV recruitment applications
