There are no costs involved in applying or becoming a 1st4sport recognised centre.
The 1st4sport Level 1 Award in Sport and Leisure Industry Awareness is an exciting new qualification designed to give those learners from 14 years of age the confidence to make informed decisions about possible careers or vocational pathways in the sector. The qualification helps encourage young people to progress into further education or pursue a career in the sector, providing a foundation level of knowledge covering areas such as:
- employability skills
- their rights and responsibilities as employees
- the breadth of the Active Leisure and Learning Industry
- the impact of public law and policies on the Active Leisure and Learning Industry and the organisation/company or sector they work in

Prerequisites
Learners must be over the age of 14.
Structure
The qualification is divided into the following units:

There are 55 recommended learning hours for learners to complete the qualification, of which 43 are guided learning hours.

Fees
Fees are charged per learner and provide registration and certification for the qualification, as well as a 1st4sport Learner Pack, learning resources and certificate. There are no costs involved in applying or becoming a 1st4sport recognised centre. Further information on fees is available from your qualification application form.
How to Apply
If you are not already a 1st4sport recognised centre, but would like to deliver the 1st4sport Level 1 Award in Sport and Leisure Industry Awareness, you will first need to fill in a Centre Recognition Application Form.
