The 1st4sport Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice assesses the performance of learning and development practitioners who maintain the quality of assessment within an organisation or assessment centre (ie internal verifier). Designed for experienced assessors, it provides the knowledge and skills needed to perform the key activities of internally quality assuring assessment. Holders can gain employment as an internal verifier. The qualification is transferable to any sector learners have occupational competence in and provides a national benchmark of good practice for England.

Prior to registration learners are required to:

  • be 18 years or over
  • hold an assessing qualification.

The qualification is divided into the following units:

Fees are charged per learner and provide registration and certification for the qualification, as well as a 1st4sport Learner Pack, learning resources and certificate. All learners being registered for RQF qualifications are required to have a Unique Learner Number (ULN) issued by the Learner Register.
