Developed in partnership with sports coach UK, the 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Mentoring in Sport (QCF) helps experienced people in a variety of sporting roles (eg coaches, sports officials) to understand how to help others improve their own performance. The qualification recognises learners’ competence as mentors in the sporting environment and gives them the opportunity to share their passion for sport. Alongside their sport-specific experience, learners will gain the underpinning knowledge and skills to successfully act as a mentor to others in a sports role. But that’s not all. The knowledge and skills gained from this qualification are also transferable to other sectors learners have occupational competence in.
