The 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Industry and Organisational Awareness for the Active Leisure and Learning Industry is a mandatory component/technical certificate for learners on an Advanced Apprenticeship in one area of the sector. The qualification gives learners the confidence to make informed decisions about vocational and career progression as well as employment opportunities in the Active Leisure and Learning Sector. Successful achievement of the 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Industry and Organisational Awareness will develop learner’s knowledge from the 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Industry and Organisational Awareness to the more advanced level required for learners at this stage about:
- employability skills
- their rights and responsibilities as employees
- the breadth of the Active Leisure and Learning Industry
- the impact of public law and policies on the Active Leisure and Learning Industry and the organisation/company or sector they work in.

What are the Learners Prerequisites?
Learners must be over the age of 16. It is also recommended that they have completed the 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Industry and Organisational Awareness for the Active Leisure and Learning Industry.
How is the Qualification Structured?
The qualification is divided into the following units:

If you are not already a 1st4sport recognised centre, but would like to deliver the 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Industry and Organisational Awareness for the Active Leisure and Learning Industry, you will first need to fill in a Centre Recognition Application Form.
To apply, please request a Centre Recognition Application Form
If you are already a 1st4sport recognised centre and would like to seek approval to deliver the 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Industry and Organisational Awareness for the Active Leisure and Learning Industry, please access Athena, the 1st4sport quality assurance system, and complete the qualification approval process. If you cannot remember your username and password, please contact us.
