Developed in partnership with sports coach UK, and supported by SkillsActive and Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK), the 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Tutoring in Sport is designed to qualify your educator workforce (which might include coaches, match officials, those involved in sports development, outdoor education or sports students) to tutor in total confidence, giving them everything they need to become a part of the education workforce legacy.

The qualification provides learners with the knowledge required of how to plan, design, deliver, manage, facilitate and review learning sessions in sport. Those who qualify will be eligible, alongside their sport-specific and occupational competences, to deliver sport-specific, vocationally related qualifications. The qualification is designed not only to test the educators’ delivery, but also to ensure they have the appropriate technical understanding at the correct level, so it typically can be used as a stepping stone to deployment within governing bodies of sport; delivering their UK Coaching Certificate (UKCC) coach education training programmes and/or achievement of the LLUK units for their Learning and Development awards.
