Speak out – ‘Speak up for physical education and school sport’

1st4sport Qualifications are holding two workshops to support centres to facilitate 1st4sport NVQs. These workshops are particularly aimed at new workforce with limited experience of NVQs, however more experienced workforce will also find it useful as part of their CPD.

From 1 April 2013, it will be possible for learners (in England) who are 24 years and older to apply for loans to support them to achieve Level 3 or above QCF-accredited qualifications, similar to the way that loans for full-time students have operated for a number of years.

The next FA Learning tutor induction for the 1st4sport Level 2 Award in Leadership through Football will be held during the week of 24th - 28th June 2013 with category 1 tutors attending 24th - 26th June 2013 and category 2, the whole week.

Organisations may be aware the FE Guild is in the process of being established, in preparation for launch in August 2013. They will be taking over the responsibility for teachers working in Further Education and vocational work-based environments, previously the responsibility of the Institute for Learning (IfL) and the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS).
